A plumbing company keeps the same copper elbow in the shop, on two vans, and at a jobsite. Here is how Tare7 always knows what is left.

Load 50 onto Van 1
The shop drops by 50 as Van 1 gains 50. Both sides happen together, so stock never appears in two places—or disappears between them.

Use 20 on a repipe
The technician records what the job used. Van 1 drops by 20, and the material cost stays connected to that customer’s work.

Two turn up behind the seat
Add the two back with the reason “found stock.” Months later, you can still see why the number changed.

Record two as damaged. They are no longer available, and the loss does not get confused with a sale or a missing item.

Before you rely on it
What this feature does not try to do.
If one of these limits matters to your business, it is better to know before you move the work—not after.
- Each plan includes a set number of locations: one on Solo, two on Mobile, five on Team, and unlimited locations on Scale. You can add more locations when you need them.
- Scale can record the bin where goods were received. It does not yet direct warehouse staff through put-away or replenishment routes.
- Scale can capture serial numbers when goods arrive, but it does not yet follow each serialized unit through every later movement.
- Tare7 can record batch and expiry details and suggest which stock to use first. The picker still makes the final choice.
- A transfer moves stock from one location to another as soon as you post it. There is not currently an “in transit” stage between the two.
- Each item uses one stocking unit. Tare7 does not yet convert automatically between a case and an individual item.
