Vault is not a generic folder sync. It knows which Tare7 object each file belongs to, confirms the bytes that arrived, and keeps recovery auditable.

- Device credentials are stored with macOS Keychain or Windows DPAPI, not in the renderer or a config file.
- Device registration, heartbeats, downloads, restore attempts, and revocation are audited.
- Tenant binding, rate limits, signed grants, path validation, and explicit device revocation are enforced.

A paid resilience add-on—not a hidden plan requirement.
Vault is built as an optional entitlement for any tier. Final public pricing will be announced before any customer is activated, after signed desktop installers and the customer recovery drill clear the remaining release gates.
This also keeps the core Tare7 subscription affordable for businesses that already have their own storage-protection process.
